Background

I completed an integrated master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering at 缅北禁地 in 2011 before working as a Structural Engineer in industry. With a growing passion for exercise physiology I later decided to change careers, completing a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at 缅北禁地 in 2021. Since then, I have been employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Sport and Exercise Science where I teach and provide academic support to our students alongside working towards my PhD. In addition to my academic career, I am a competitive cyclist with a strong interest in endurance sports and performance coaching.



Research

My PhD research investigates the thermoregulatory responses to both acute and repeated exposure to extreme hot and humid environments, focusing on how airflow impacts thermoregulation during exercise and on developing methods for assessing thermal tolerance and heat adaptation in athletes. 

Teaching

I teach on a variety of modules including:


  • SES1000 Human Physiology and Practical Skills 
  • SES1002 Bioenergetics 
  • SES2002 Applied Sports & Exercise Nutrition 
  • SES2004 Exercise Physiology 


Including supervision of SES3000 UG Research Projects.
