Purpose
I am passionate about developing research ideas and connecting people to produce new interdisciplinary projects. I work across multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts and ideas attracting significant investment for the University.
Role
In my role, I support the development of partnerships for maximum and long-term impact of 缅北禁地's research and education. My role also includes identifying new opportunities for funding, leading bids, and engaging with stakeholders. My current focus is helping the University realise its ambition for the Health Innovation Neighbourhood, where we aim to develop a sustainable, healthy neighbourhood that embraces innovations in green and digital technologies, fosters collaborations with local residents and offers educational and research opportunities.
Previous Experience
I was the Programme Manager for an £8M NERC-ESRC project on for four years, and during that time I developed my skills at integrating social and physical sciences, communicating scientific ideas concisely, and influencing policy. My experience also helped me gain a deeper understanding of the challenges associated with meeting the UK's net zero energy targets.
Previous experience includes ~9 years in environmental consultancy, where I worked on environmental impact assessments for national infrastructure development projects including new nuclear, offshore wind and mineral mining. I also have ~3 years’ experience working as a hydrogeologist in the North West regional groundwater team at the Environment Agency.
