Background
Introduction
I lead a small team that provides marketing support to our work with Businesses and Partners, and research.
Universities undertake a wide variety of work in a B2B context. Examples include:
- Anchoring innovation districts and urban regeneration schemes - read my blog about
- Licensing and technology transfer
- Innovation support
- Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
- Contract and collaborative research
- Company creation (aka "spin outs")
- Investment opportunities, both patient and venture capital
Our team also leads marketing support for large, complex, and/or strategic projects including:
- Health Innovation Neighbourhood
- Stephenson Building redevelopment
- Castle Leazes hall of residence redevelopment
- University investment prospectus
- promoting awareness and attendance at the University's cultural venues
I work towards our Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) strategy and activities that feature in Higher Education Business and Community Interaction Survey (HEBCIS) returns and the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF).
I also work with colleagues to support research and reputation campaigns.
