Profile

Sarah Carnegie joined 缅北禁地 Business School in 2015, having previously competed a Masters in Human Resource Management at the School [winning the overall academic achievement prize for her cohort]. She is a Senior Lecturer, primarily focused on delivery of work integrated learning [WIL] modules, as well as modules that support the transition of students into HE. Her teaching draws on her experience as an HR&D Consultant and Quality Assessor, when she was responsible for completing various international projects. 

Sarah is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CFCIPD), a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), and a Chartered Management and Business Educator (CMBE).

Roles and Responsibilities

Sarah is the Director of Employability for the Business School. She is responsible for setting the leadership and direction on student employability, enterprise and graduate employment outcomes, acting as a point of communication between Subject Groups and relevant Professional Teams within the School. Sarah is also the Co-Director of Scholarship, and in this role is responsible for supporting colleagues in relation to the dissemination and embedding of good scholarship practice.

My research interests focus on understanding and improving student experience and future employability.

Sarah teaches on various Business Management and Human Resource Management undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

She is the Module Leader for the capstone Management Consultancy Module BUS3053. This module provides opportunities for undergraduate students to work with external clients to research an agreed business issue and offer recommendations for improvement. 

Sarah also designed and implemented an optional Stage 2 module on the UG Business Management programme, that provides students with a route to professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personal and Development [CIPD].

Sarah is also the Module Leader for NBS3000 Business School Mobility, a module that is delivered across the majority of our undergraduate degree programmes for students undertaking an intercalating year, either work placement or study abroad.
