I am a lecturer in the School of Computing and do research related to quantum computing. I do independent consulting related to quantum computing the other 50% of my time. For more information about my work, please see my personal webpage .

I teach the second part of CSC2032, algorithm design and analysis. I have worked to make this course my own including adding new material related to simulated annealing at the end of the course. While my background is in quantum computing my lecturing duties all currently relate to classical algorithms, this is because there was not enough teaching on the quantum module to go around for all of the staff in quantum computing, and I had the most experience of the three of us in classical algorithms given my focus on hybrid quantum-classical computing so I offered to teach non-quantum subjects.
