Background

Dr Varun Ojha is a Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence at the School of Computing at 缅北禁地. He is the Artificial Intelligence Theme Leader and Co-I on the EPSRC-funded National Edge AI Hub. In the past, Dr Ojha served as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Computer Science at the University of Reading, UK. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Zurich, Switzerland. Before this, Dr Ojha was a Marie-Curie Fellow (funded by the European Commission) at the Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. He received a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Ostrava, the Czech Republic. In his early career, Dr Ojha received a research fellowship position funded by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology at the Visva-Bharati University, India. Dr Ojha has major research in the field of deep learning, machine learning, and data science. He has contributed to the development of novel machine learning algorithms and applied his research to a diverse range of engineering and science domains, such as climate, engineering, medical, biology, and sensors and signal processing.

Research

I work on Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and the Application of AI to Engineering and Scientific Problems, such as in the areas of Sensors and Signal Processing, Medical Sciences, Systems Biology, Medicine, Hydrology, and Climate Sciences. I have published over 85 articles and papers in top-tier international journals and conferences. I have been successful in obtaining several awards in lead and co-lead roles:
