Background
I am a PhD researcher focusing on halal red meat supply chains, with an interest in how halal standards are implemented, governed, and maintained, particularly in relation to trade into ASEAN markets. My research examines issues of halal integrity and standards complexity, as well as the behaviour and decision-making of key actors within the system, including firms, certification bodies and halal authorities. My PhD is funded by the Government of Brunei Darussalam under the In-Service Training Scheme.
