Our People
Background
I am a PhD researcher with interests in urban–rural mobilities, rural housing, and community resilience. My research focuses on the social processes of rural housing renovation driven by counterurbanisation, and how these processes relate to community development. It is a case study in rural China, exploring how distinctive land institutions and socio-economic conditions shape housing stories beyond those commonly discussed in the Global North.
