Background
I am interested in applying high throughput DNA sequencing approaches to problems in both plant health and food safety. This includes the use of whole genome sequencing to better understand the spread of bacterial pathogens and eukaryotic pests, and metagenomic sequencing to detect Antimicrobial Resistance Genes across the agri-food chain.
