Biographical Sketch

My research explores the potential for nature-based solutions to provide multiple benefits for people and nature, focusing on innovations in technology and management for carbon dioxide removal and nature recovery. My research group uses an interdisciplinary approach to address complex socio-environmental challenges, drawing on knowledge from soil science, microbial ecology, plant ecophysiology, atmospheric chemistry, remote sensing, process-based modelling, and the social sciences. Current funded research focuses on topics such as enhanced rock weathering, peatland management and restoration, agroforestry, and sustainable production of biomass feedstocks.
