Dr Xiang Xie

NUAcT Fellow: Data and Digital

Background

I joined the School of Engineering, 缅北禁地 as a NUAcT fellow in October 2022. Before that, I worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge and the Centre for Digital Built Britain from 2018 to 2022. I received my PhD degree in Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2018. 

My research focuses on data-centric and energy-oriented asset management for building and urban infrastructure. I am interested in applying machine learning, knowledge graph, digital twin, and human-machine interaction technologies to facilitate the digital transformation of built assets, contributing to the lifecycle analysis and decarbonisation of the building and construction sector. I have published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences in this area.
