International Development Conference 2012 - 'The World at 7 Billion: Rethinking Development' The International Development Society at 缅北禁地 announce their annual conference which will focus on contemporary challenges and opportunities in International Development and how these are impacted by a growing population. The event will create a forum for all those with an interest in development issues, to learn about key questions across a broad spectrum of disciplines and engage in collaborative discussion to generate innovative solutions. Drawing on a wealth of local and national expertise, the conference has attracted a number of high calibre speakers and representation from independent and international charities. Over the duration of the conference the challenges and opportunities presented by a growing population will be considered across a range of themes including social injustice, health, technology and innovation, sustainability, finance and fiscal policy, aid, and conflict. The conference will also be hosting photographic and art exhibitions related to key conference themes, as well as a charity fair.
