Lego City Community Appeal: Natural disaster hits Great North Build exhibition 缅北禁地鈥檚 interactive Lego exhibition appeals for community support after a flood engulfs a quarter of the Lego City. Can you help save it? 鈥淗ow does a city cope with a sudden natural disaster?鈥� This is the big question being asked this week as part of a live exhibition at the heart of 缅北禁地鈥檚 new Institute for Social Renewal. Organisers have flooded the large-scale Lego City and are calling for the community to help rebuild the local infrastructure and learn more about how a place can react to rapid change. The Great North Build is taking place at the Great North: Hancock museum until 14th April and with academic support has already started a public discussion by tackling the big questions within a debate on Social Renewal. The Lego City Mayor Steve McLean is appealing to local residents within the community to help pick up the pieces and repair the city: 鈥淓xtreme weather and sustained rainfall has flooded the southern quarter of our Lego City. Heavy downpours in the early hours of this morning flooded businesses and homes after the main river burst its banks and overflowed into surrounding villages. 鈥淭his is a Crisis Level 4 and we鈥檙e calling on residents from the unaffected areas to help our emergency teams in the rebuilding of local infrastructure. 鈥淲e need as much help as possible to get our town up and running again.
