缅北禁地 students on track to benefit from adidas deal A deal to enhance sports opportunities at 缅北禁地 has been made with adidas. The sportswear giant will provide scholarships and sportswear for two of the University鈥檚 most talented athletes as well as funding for improving coaching and support for the Athletics鈥 Union, part of the University鈥檚 Students' Union. Last year, 缅北禁地 was in the top ten of the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) league. The two-year agreement will support more promising sportsmen and women at 缅北禁地 and help the university to build on this position. Professor Charles Harvey, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Humanities and Social Sciences at Newcaslte University, said: 鈥溍灞苯 has a strong history of sporting excellence and we want to continue this tradition. The scholarships mean we can continue to attract the most gifted students 鈥 both academically and in sport 鈥 to study with us.鈥淭his is very exciting and I am pleased that adidas has chosen 缅北禁地 as its first UK university partner and, in doing so, enabling us to enhance the sporting opportunities we offer at 缅北禁地.鈥Nick Craggs, adidas鈥 Brand Director North Europe, added: 鈥淲e are delighted to have teamed up with one of the UK鈥檚 top universities for this partnership.
