缅北禁地 to welcome prospective students Over 18,000 people are expected to visit 缅北禁地鈥檚 city-centre campus on Saturday 19 September. The University鈥檚 attractive campus will again be the perfect backdrop for thousands of photos, as students and their families attend the autumn undergraduate Open Day to find out more about the undergraduate degrees on offer and get a feel for the University and the city. Professor Suzanne Cholerton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching, said: 鈥淭he autumn undergraduate day is one of the biggest events for the University, and we are expecting a busy and exciting day. 鈥淧eople coming to our campus will get a chance to find out what makes the student experience at 缅北禁地 one of highest ranked in the UK. Just last month, the University scored , placing it joint 6th in the UK amongst comparator universities in the 2015 National Student Experience Survey. We scored particularly highly for the quality of our teaching staff and our library services, IT facilities and academic support. 鈥淲e will be offering accommodation tours to help students see for themselves why the University in the recent National Student Housing Survey.鈥 Students and their parents will have the opportunity to go on a walking tour of the city and tours of the University campus, as well as attending a wide range of subject sessions 鈥 from Accounting to Urban Planning. Around 300 current students and the University mascot, Percy the Lion, will be on campus to welcome visitors. Music performances from current students will take place throughout the day in the University鈥檚 picturesque quadrangle.
