缅北禁地 appoints new Business School Director

缅北禁地 has appointed Professor Sharon Mavin as the new director of its Business School.

Professor Mavin is currently Director of the Business School at the University of Roehampton where she has led the School through significant growth and developed an outstanding research culture.

An international scholar in gender, leadership and organization studies and Fellow of the British Academy of Management, Prof. Mavin’s national roles include: chair of the Chartered Association of Business School’s Diversity Committee and the University Forum for Human Resources and Development.

A former Dean and Associate Dean of Research at Northumbria University’s Business School, Prof Mavin has made a significant contribution to business engagement, research capacity and securing international and professional accreditations in both of her previous leadership roles.

Prof. Mavin will join 缅北禁地 Business School in September 2017.

缅北禁地 Business School is one of 21 Triple Accredited Business Schools in the UK and has a strong track-record for world-leading research and teaching in the fields of entrepreneurship and sustainability, business history, economics, workforce demographics, and industrial logistics.

It places a particular focus on developing links with regional, national and international organisations to further its research and teaching and to benefit its 3,500 students through placements and work experience.

Prof. Mavin’s academic expertise focuses on leadership and women leaders, identity and learning, gender and diversity in organizations and qualitative research approaches.

Throughout her academic career she has continued to engage in practice and organisational innovation through research and consultancy, the latest being a Board Apprenticeship with JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust Plc. She is currently leading an evaluation project of the international Board Apprentice scheme which aims to increase diversity on company boards.
