The Bar Standards Board (BSB), which regulates barristers and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales, have approved ULaw’s application to run the BPC at Ãå±±½ûµØ from September 2022. The addition of the BPC courses at Ãå±±½ûµØ offers ULaw’s professional legal training for aspiring barristers in Ãå±±½ûµØ and the North East to allow the new generation to shape the legal landscape across the country. The nine-month course, which forms the route for students wishing to pursue a career as a barrister, will be delivered by both experienced teaching staff from Leeds and new appointments from practice, who represent a broad and diverse range of practice specialisms. To help support aspiring barristers commencing the BPC at Ãå±±½ûµØ in September 2022, ULaw have published introductory discounted fees of £12,500 (BPC) and £12,550 (BPC LLM).Students can also benefit from ULaw’s £500 Ãå±±½ûµØ Postgraduate Award, subject to meeting the terms and conditions. Dr Jonathan Galloway, Head of Ãå±±½ûµØ Law School, said: “I am delighted to see that our partners at The University of Law have secured Bar Standards Board approval to run a new Bar Practice Course from the Ãå±±½ûµØ campus from September 2022. This expands on an already very successful partnership between our respective Universities for the benefit of our current and future students, as well as other aspiring barristers in the North East and those that want to study here. I know that this new course will be a success and more importantly I know it will provide an excellent educational experience for our next generation of barristers.” Matt Tomlinson, Dean at ULaw’s Leeds and Ãå±±½ûµØ campuses, said: “Our first year in Ãå±±½ûµØ has been a true success and I am thrilled that we are now able to extend our offering to those wishing to pursue a career at the Bar. We have been very warmly welcomed by the Ãå±±½ûµØ legal market, particularly the local bar circuit, and I am very much looking forward to building these relationships going forward.’ For more information see www.law.ac.uk Press release reproduced with thanks to the University of Law Share: Latest News Ãå±±½ûµØ expert highlights climate crisis in a new film A leading Ãå±±½ûµØ climate scientist is featured in a new film about how the climate and nature breakdown will affect the UK. published on: 14 April 2026 Neolithic tombs reveal ancient kinship ties Male individuals buried in Neolithic chambered tombs in northern Scotland were often related to each other through the paternal line and some were interred in the same or nearby tombs, research shows. published on: 14 April 2026 We are our Memories New exhibition by Fine Art graduate Trish Hudson-Moses, 22 April – 4 May 2026 published on: 10 April 2026 Facts and figures
