Jon Parker, a Senior Project Manager in 缅北禁地’s Estates team said: “We’re really pleased work to repair Henderson Old Hall can begin later this year. “It will be a big milestone on our journey to bring the hall back into use. The priority is to make sure Henderson Hall is permanently weather proofed and watertight.” Henderson Old Hall Bringing the hall back into use The Estates Team has worked closely with the University’s insurers, who are covering the costs of repairs, as well as the local authority and consultants, to make sure the site is safe to access and to assess the extent of the fire damage. Now that work is complete, they are tendering for a contractor to carry out the repairs which are likely to take 12-18 months to complete. In preparation for the repair work, contractors will be on site from Monday 16th June, for four weeks to remove fire damaged material from the ground and first floor areas. Discussions about how the building will be used in the future are continuing. You can look back at Henderson Old Hall's history as a student residence here.
