London has the busiest urban roads in the country. In spite of an extensive public transport system, over 80% of daily passenger journeys and nearly all freight movements use the city’s road network. Keeping the city moving is a daily challenge for Transport of London, and this in 2012 they faced their greatest challenge when the capital hosted the world’s largest logistical event – the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

A short film (~12 mins) showing the processes and technology for managing traffic in London, that allows TfL to handle major events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games can be found on YouTube: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=R359eCHVFJA
