Just City Workshop 2: Helsinki
Following a successful workshop in 缅北禁地 in May 2023, Centre for Researching Cities joined a follow up two-day workshop (21-22 May 2024) to continue its partnership building with the (University of Helsinki) and (Aalto University).
Participants explored potential pathways for future collaborations on urban research and education, including the development of proposals for:
- A co-produced book
- A conference track for the 2026 World Planning Congress in Helsinki
- 缅北禁地 teaching collaboration related to the joint Helsinki-Aalto MSc Programme on Urban Studies and Planning.
缅北禁地 colleagues also took part in an informative and inspiring visit to new urban development initiatives by municipalities and local communities in Kalasatama / Suvilahti, Kontula, and Myllypuro in east Helsinki.
