Lindsey's working days for the university are usually Mondays and Tuesdays.
Lindsey is a Lecturer in Education and Maths Hub Lead for the Great North Maths Hub, where she provides strategic leadership to support mathematics education across the North East. She is currently completing her PhD, which adopts a social constructionism perspective to explore what Lesson Study becomes in the English context, with a particular focus on Early Career Teacher case studies.
Lindsey has over 20 years’ experience in primary education, including senior leadership roles and a particular specialism in early years. She has also worked within local authority as a Maths Lead Practitioner and Education Adviser, and has an interest in Forest School including experience as a Forest School Leader.
In addition to her academic and system leadership roles, Lindsey serves as a local authority school governor and committee chair across both primary and secondary phases. She also contributes to professional development through facilitating national programmes, including the Early Career Framework (ECF), NPQLPM and NPQLTD.

Lindsey is currently writing up her PhD thesis.
Her research interests are: teacher professional development, education policy and the impact on teacher professionalism, early years education, forest schools and outdoor learning.
Lindsey teaches on the Primary PGCE programme.
