Learning from the International Enterprise Educators Conference
On the 2nd to 4th September 2026, Ellie, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Coordinator, and Starr, Enterprising Futures Coordinator, attended the 20th International Enterprise Educators Conference (IEEC), hosted by Nottingham Trent University.
The conference explored how entrepreneurial activity can be embedded across and beyond higher and further education, highlighting cross-disciplinary innovation, policy development, and transformative teaching practice.鈥
For Ellie and Starr, the event was a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the sector and share ideas. It was a great opportunity to network, with highlights including talks on ensuring the accessibility of entrepreneurship and embedding gender equity into the entrepreneurial space, themes that closely align with the Academy’s commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for young people.

Overall, the conference has left Ellie and Starr feeling inspired and excited for the year ahead, with plenty of new ideas to implement. Looking ahead, it is especially exciting to see the IEEC coming to the North East next year, where the event will be hosted at Teesside University. The opportunity to welcome enterprise educators to the region is a positive step for the continued growth and visibility for enterprise education across the region.
