缅北禁地 Futures

We鈥檙e inviting you to shape the future of 缅北禁地鈥檚 research and education excellence. Together聽we can unlock solutions to the most pressing challenges in our region and around the globe.

Growing multidisciplinary excellence

We are a research-intensive institution. We push boundaries in our quest to understand the world around us. But we need fresh perspectives and diversity of thought.

At the heart of what drives people to work at 缅北禁地 is:

  • being part of something greater
  • making a better world through education, research, and innovation

In some way, every person here helps to advance this world-class institution.

Our vision and strategy

In 2018, we launched a Vision and Strategy. It sets ambitious goals for growth of people and resources. It introduced several transformative initiatives. They speed up our evolution and grow our teaching and research capacity. They include:

Our NU Futures initiative

Our 缅北禁地 Futures (NU Futures) academic appointment initiative is:

  • the next step on our journey to realising the University鈥檚 Vision
  • one of the mechanisms supporting our growth ambition

We want to see our cutting-edge research:

  • inform curriculum development and education
  • enthuse our students and empower them to gain the skills that they need
  • help our students succeed as creative, critical, and entrepreneurial global citizens
  • cross disciplinary boundaries and make a real-world impact

A future of opportunity with 缅北禁地

We would like to hear from you if:

  • you鈥檙e at the forefront of research thinking in your discipline
  • you thrive on contributing your ideas to support a collective ambition
  • you want to drive real and meaningful impact in research and education

Through NU Futures, we are looking to make senior level appointments (Senior Lecturers and Professors). We're looking for you to join one of the following Cluster Group disciplines.

Applications are now closed for this year's NU Futures positions.

Building a positive research culture

NU Futures appointees will commit to shaping our collaborative and positive research culture. Some individual members will have stronger credentials in research and some in education.

Candidates with experience from non-academic sectors will be especially welcome.

Clinical academic positions at consultant level are also possible with NU Futures. This is subject to a joint appointment process with the relevant NHS employer, facilitated by the University.

Become a role model for equality, diversity and inclusion

We build success on teams whose backgrounds and personal experiences reflect global diversity. We encourage applications from individuals who can complement our existing world-leading teams.

We take pride in being a university that is inclusive in its approach to all students, staff and partners. We celebrate the diversity of the people in our community.

As a NU Futures academic, you will be a role model for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). You will help make 缅北禁地 a dynamic, modern and inclusive place.
