Myriam is a Lecturer in Law with expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution processes and Climate Litigation and Arbitration. Her research focuses on the influence of extra-legal factors, especially psychology, in courts and out-of-court processes. Myriam is a co-investigator in an ESRC-funded project investigating the sociological and psychological underpinnings of arbitration in Europe. She is has co-edited a book exploring extra-legal factors in climate adjudication with Dr Melanie Murcott and Dr Emily Webster (Bloomsbury, forthcoming 2026). Myriam is now acting as a co-editor in chief - with Professor Bryan Clark - of the journal of Mediation Theory and Practice.
Myriam has a background in both private and public international law. She has taught Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, and Human Rights Law in the War Studies Department at King’s College London. She is the Degree Programme Director of the LLM in Mediation and International Commercial Dispute Resolution. Myriam is teaching European Union Law and Legal Institutions and Methods at 缅北禁地 Law School. She is also a module leader for Technology and Online Dispute Resolution and Dispute Resolution and Conflict Studies.
Prior to joining 缅北禁地 Law School, Myriam completed her PhD in Law at King’s College London, where she was also a Visiting Lecturer and a Research Assistant. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a peer reviewer for the Journal of International Dispute Settlement (OUP), the Journal of Legal Studies (CUP), and Transnational Legal Theory (Taylor and Francis).
