I am Dean of Strategic Projects for the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering, with responsibilities in devising and driving forward initiatives across new areas of business, physical and digital infrastructure, and the faculty estate. From 2020-2025 I was Head of the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.
I completed my PhD in quantum fluid physics at Durham University in 2005. Following this I took up a post-doctoral position in theoretical condensed matter physics at the University of Melbourne (2005-2007), and then held the position of Canadian Commonwealth Postdoctoral Scholar at McMaster University (2007-2008). From 2008-2011 I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Food Science and Nutrition, university of Leeds. In 2011 I joined 缅北禁地 as a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. From 2017-2020 I was Director of Postgraduate Studies.
My research portfolio covers quantum fluids and mathematical modelling of biological and ecological systems.
