Astrophysical and geophysical fluid dynamics

Our research group explores the operation of hydrodynamic and magnetohydrodynamics processes in a variety of contexts.

Quantum matter

We're interested in the theoretical study and modelling of the quantum properties of matter and light - from the fundamental to the technological.

Cosmology and quantum gravity

Our research group focuses on the big bang and fundamental physics.

Observational astrophysics

Using a variety of observatories we study the small to the vast - including pulsars, active galactic nuclei, galaxies and cosmology.

Emerging technology and materials

The group focuses on its unique strengths and capabilities to conduct world-leading research.
