Background

Emma successfully completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham in 2019 exploring mental health recovery through ethnography within forensic mental health. Emma has a Degree in Psychology (BSc Hons) and a Master's in Research Methods (MSc). Since 2012 Emma has worked on a range of criminal justice research and evaluation projects, including academic, NHS, and governmental projects. 

Emma joined the School of Psychology in June 2022 and contributes towards teaching Forensic Psychology at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

  • Sexual Offending
  • Violence Against Women and Girls
  • Research Methods (qualitative, participatory methods)
Research
Emma's research interests include: Forensic Mental Health, Sexual Offending Treatment, including Feminist Perspectives.
