I an currently a Research Associate working within the REACH (Researching Equity, Access and Cancer Health Outcomes) team. My research currently focusses on oral medication adherence in cancer patients and risk factors in the development of cancer. I am involved with a range of cancer trials but also use NHS and real world data to explore these topics.

Previously I have explored how residual beta-cell function in individuals with type 1 diabetes influences glucose control at rest and around exercise, as well on the vascular benefits of exercise. I have been lucky to be involved with exercise and nutrition research in a range of clinical and healthy populations including; type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, heart failure, mitochondrial disease, obesity, and professional athletes.  

Expertise

I am currently focussed on big health data analytics. I have previously completed exercise and physiology projects involving exercise testing high-risk patient groups, phlebotomy and cannulation, ECG placement and interpretation, sample handling and analysis, continuous glucose monitoring data and quantifying rare cells in the blood by flow cytometry.
