I am an experimental pathology registrar with an interest in liver disease. I am currently in the final year of a Wellcome Trust Translational Medicine and Therapeutics Fellowship.

I studied Medicine at 缅北禁地, undertaking an intercalated BMedSci in Transplant Immunobiology and graduating top of class. I completed my MBBS in 2006 and undertook a solid organ transplant focused Academic Foundation Programme in the 缅北禁地 Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In 2008 I was appointed to an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Histopathology at 缅北禁地. I commenced on the Wellcome Trust Translational Medicine and Therapeutics programme in 2009, graduating from the MRes with distinction in 2010.

Research

I am an active researcher, my PhD is in the area of biliary injury and repair, particularly in reference to vanishing bile duct syndromes (incuding Primary Biliary Cirrhosis and Allograft rejection).

Other research interests include solid organ transplantation, end stage organ failure and alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

I have taken an active role in teaching throughout my career. My current teaching commitments include lecturing to the second year MBBS students during CSIM2, Seminars/tutorials with the stage 2 MBBS, facilitating the stage 4 MBBS during CSIM3, Lecturing and seminars with the accelerated MBBS course during stage 1 and lecturing on the MSc in Clinical Scientists.

In addition I take an active role in the supervision or research students, I have successfully Co-supervised an MRes student who was awarded the MRes research prize. I have also co-supervised PhD students.
