Introduction:

Lisa Crowe (PhD, MA, MSc, BA Hons) is a Research Associate in the Population Health Sciences Institute. Her research focuses on difficult and distressing topics in healthcare and public health, which often has the added component of being lifechanging, unexpected and sensitive in nature.

Lisa has experience applying her expertise in highly sensitive topics across a number of different research groups within the institute. These include: the Alcohol research group; the Maternal and Perinatal research group; and the Cancer research group. Lisa is currently embedded within the Health Inequalities research group working on research exploring health inequalities involving the criminal justice system and childcare.

Specific research topic experience includes: Termination of Pregnancy for non-lethal fetal anomaly; Paediatric VAD and heart transplant; Cancer patients receiving biological and precision therapy; loss from a multiple pregnancy; obesity in pregnancy; exploring the use of NPS; mental health service evaluation; at risk alcohol use.
