Louise holds a join appointment between the University and 缅北禁地 City Council where she is a Public Health Consultant.
Louise works collaboratively across the University, the Public Health Directorate at 缅北禁地 City Council, 缅北禁地's Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) and wider research networks.
Her role aims to increase links between public health research being conducted in academia and local authorities. This includes supporting research and evidence collection that is conducted in the Council to be high quality and with academic principles incorporated, as well as linking academic researchers with officers and decision makers within the Council to understand how their research can shape policy.
Louise's research interests lie in the 'wider determinants of health' and health inequalities, particularly with children and families.
Louise studied Geography at the University of Sheffield, followed by a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and PhD from the University of Liverpool. Louise previously worked in Human Resources (Private Sector), Project and Programme Management (VCSE Sector), Research Management (Academia) and Clinical Trial Management (NHS) before undertaking Specialty training in the North West region.
