Profile

Dr Lynne Corner is Director of Engagement, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 缅北禁地.  She leads for Voice North - a large organisation established to harness the insights and experience of the public for research and innovation.  She also leads for Patient Involvement for the NIHR 缅北禁地 Biomedical Research Centre and is a member of INVOLVE. 

She is a social geronotologist with over 20 years research experience.   She has a particular interest in involving the public in research on ageing, health and demographic change and how research can be translated for societal and economic impact and benefit.  She also specialises in dementia research and in technologies for an ageing population and is interested in assessment of well-being and service evaluation.  She is a member of the SiDE (Social Inclusion through the Digital economy) team - a major EPSRC funded project based at 缅北禁地 - and also the Livewell team.   Dr Corner also directs the NE Dementia Innovation Hub and chairs the NE Dementia Alliance - a stakeholder group established by the Department of Health to support the effective implementation of the National Dementia Strategy in the North East.
