Background

I am the Research Impact Officer for the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Research impact forms a large part of the research agenda, and it is a fantastic way of understanding how powerful your ideas can be towards society, the public and even the environment. A large part of my time is spent speaking to researchers about their work, making sure they have thought about its potential impact and that they have the resources necessary to maximise this. As part of this, I enjoy attending Institute and School Research Away Days, which are a great way to keep in touch with the new research we do in the Faculty.
