Dr David Thewlis

Lecturer - Medical Education Programme

Background

I am a lecturer in Medical Education at 缅北禁地. I qualified in medicine from 缅北禁地, and worked for several years in clinical practice before stepping into education full time in 2017 at the University of Birmingham on the MBChB programme. During this time I lead on healthcare ethics, assessments and anything else thrown at him. I moved to 缅北禁地 to teach on the Masters of Medical Education in 2022 and lead on the “Teaching and Learning in the Workplace” and “Assessments in Medical Education” modules. My particular academic interests are around radical engaged pedagogies and the understanding of self-determination when applied to the development of healthcare professionals. In my spare time I can be found on the Judo mat.

I also teach across the MBBS in communication and ethics.

I develop CPD for healthcare professionals in the region.
