Assessment & Completion
All students must do the following in order to successfully complete the summer school.
How do I successfully complete the summer school?
- Abide by the behavioural expectations & standards set out in the Attendee Code of Conduct.
- Full engagement with all compulsory sessions during PASS (Sunday 27 June - Friday 2 July)
- Submit your Formative Assessment, as directed by your strand leader.
- Submit the PASS Evaluation Form.
Attendance & Engagement
- Compulsory and optional sessions during the summer school will be outlined on the provisional timetable that you will receive in May.
- 100% attendance at all present-in-person sessions.
- Engagement with all academic online sessions (including live sessions and work that you complete in your own time), as directed by your subject strand leader.

The formative assessment - not as scary as it sounds, we promise!
Initial details of the formative assessments for each subject strand will be given to students in early May alongside a provisional timetable. Previous assessments have included essays, reports, group presentations and multiple choice quizzes.
Formative means that it's not graded or marked, and is purely for you to receive constructive feedback. We just want you to try your best and give it a go!
You can only fail the assessment if you do not submit everything required or it's clear that you haven't put any effort into it.
You're not expected to do work on this or revise in advance of attending PASS - everything you need for the assignments will be taught in the week.
How will the assessment be marked?
Your assessment will be marked in line with the academic standards for the subject area at 缅北禁地 that you apply to.
This gives you the chance to put into practice the university-level learning and skills you have developed during the PARTNERS Academic Summer School. It's also a fantastic opportunity to receive academic feedback in advance of beginning undergraduate study.
Can I fail the assessment?
If you follow the guidance from your strand leader and submit the assessment as directed, you will not fail.
You should receive written academic feedback (both positive and constructive!) and may receive a mark or a score. This feedback and marking are designed to give you a valuable head start on your course when you hopefully enrol in September.
