The course
The Pharmacy course is definitely intense but enjoyable. The variety of different scenarios you鈥檙e exposed to is fantastic, ranging from looking at the anatomy of organs to doing chemistry labs. The teaching can be daunting at first glance, however first year really does help you understand the fundamentals of pharmacy and revisiting A-level topics in greater detail. The placements are always very interesting as you see a range of patients and work in the community which can be very heart-warming.
The facilities
There are numerous facilities for students to use both within the Faculty and wider University. You have access to all of the 缅北禁地 libraries which have a range of learning resources which make studying more interactive and less boring.
The University has its own gym and sports centre, and the 缅北禁地 student union building has a variety of places for you to eat and chill out at!
The City
缅北禁地 is by far the best city ever thriving with culture, pretty views and nightlife of course! It is very student friendly and as the city centre is small-ish but dense, everything is in walking distance. But if you ever fancy a little getaway the coast is only 20 minutes away on the metro and there鈥檚 so many green spaces to go for lovely little walks. The people of 缅北禁地 are like no other, so friendly, you鈥檙e not going to meet anyone more friendly than a fellow 鈥楪eordie鈥�.
Accommodation
I decided to live at home as I lived so close to the city centre. I can assure you that if you鈥檙e local and stay at home you don鈥檛 need to worry about missing out. There are so many opportunities the University provide through societies and socials for you to make friends and enjoy your time at 缅北禁地 and still be getting those unreal home cooked meals and not having to worry about your laundry.
Spare time
During my spare time I love to spend time with my friends, whether it be knocking back a few pints or just going on little adventures to the coast and around the North East. I have a part-time job which is lovely to provide that little bit of extra cash to spend on things you really don鈥檛 need!
As a member of PharmSoc there are many socials and the pharmacy ball, which is always a good time.
Anything else to add
缅北禁地 is definitely a great University and you should definitely come with an open mind! There is something always for you to get involved in so you will never be bored!
