Dr. Miriam Baldwin teaches and researches in Philosophy. She has a PhD in Philosophy from Warwick University on subjectivity and agency with reference to temporal narrativity and identity. She undertook Post-Doctoral research at The Technical University, Berlin. Miriam's article The Zoom-In Culture of Digitally Mediated Identity explores the way in which new digital technologies have transformed practices of identity-creation and self-presentation in fluid times (2020  Baldwin M. The Zoom-In Culture of Digitally-Mediated Identity. Journal for Cultural Research 2020, 24(1), 53-68. ). Her current research interests lie in conceptualizing the art of Iris Anne Berger (https://irisanneberger.co.uk/). Berger collaborated with Claudia Jones, 'Mother' of the Notting Hill Carnival' in late 1950's London during the period of the Notting Hill Riots. Berger was influenced by Jones' belief that art can heal communities.
