About NIHR 缅北禁地 Clinical Research Facility
The NIHR 缅北禁地 Clinical Research Facility (NCRF) is well-established and successful. It delivers a range of experimental medicine studies led by Principal Investigators from across the 缅北禁地 and the 缅北禁地 upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It plays a strategic role in realising the ambition to be a leader in translational research bringing benefits to patients and society.
The NCRF incorporates the Clinical Research Facility located at the Leazes Wing of the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI CRF), the Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU) and the Dental Clinical Research Facility (Dental CRF) located in the 缅北禁地 Dental Hospital.
The clinical and operational team have a wide range of skills and experience in clinical research trials from Phase I to Phase IV, with both adults and children. They can advise and run these from costings through to clinical delivery and data management.
Stage
Researchers should contact us at the earliest stage if they are planning to initiate a clinical trial and are looking for support.
NCRF supports translational research stages T1- T2 and provides support with pilot clinical evaluation and experimental medicine, as well as clinical evaluation and regulatory approval.

- Commercial Enterprise Team The 缅北禁地 upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Commercial Enterprise Team at 缅北禁地 upon Tyne Hospitals (NuTH) NHS Foundation Trust supports research active staff from within the Trust. These are staff who are looking to work with commercial partners to deliver projects.
We also work closely with the 缅北禁地 Joint Research Office (NJRO) to input on intellectual property requirements within the wider NHS. This particularly involves projects with commercial potential.
Stage
Researchers at NuTH should approach the Commercial Enterprise Team for support when they:
- identify the need to access proprietary technology of an external supplier
- consider their project to have commercial potential.
It鈥檚 always best to consider the intellectual property position at an early stage when developing a project proposal.
The NuTH NHS Foundation Trust Commercial Enterprise Team primarily supports stages T2-T3 of the Translational Research Pathway. It provides support with clinical evaluation and regulatory approval, as well as adoption and diffusion.
