Student Behaviour

The Student Behaviour Team help keep accommodation a safe, positive, and respectful environment for everyone.

The Student Behaviour team helps make sure University accommodation is a safe, respectful, and positive place to live. We respond to behaviour-related concerns in accommodation. These include:

  • noise
  • anti-social behaviour
  • damage
  • fire safety breaches
  • other incidents that may affect students, staff or the wider residential community

When an incident is reported, we look at what has happened, the impact it has had and the information available. We aim to resolve issues early where possible, help students understand expectations and make sure any action taken is fair and proportionate. This may include:

  • advice
  • warnings
  • educational interventions
  • behaviour agreements
  • fines
  • referral through the University disciplinary process
