PGR Supervisor Guidance, Policies and External Resources

For information on university PGR policies, guidance, and additional resources available through the Research Supervisor Project (RSVP).

Things you need to know as a PGR Supervisor

Supervisors play a key role in supporting research students through direct guidance and by signposting them to appropriate University services. This page serves as a central hub with links to key resources to support you in guiding both current and prospective PGR students across all stages of their journey.

It brings together the core policies and administrative procedures that underpin the PGR lifecycle, including admissions, academic regulations, and examination processes. Alongside this, it provides links to a wide range of practical resources available both on and beyond campus to help support students’ wider needs, including financial advice and wellbeing support.

Together, these links help you navigate both the formal requirements of the PGR process and the broader support available to students, ensuring they are directed to the right information at the right time.
