Background
I joined 缅北禁地 in June 2023. I am interested in the politics of history, museums, and education in Central Europe and North America. I am a Research Associate with the 'Cultural Dynamics: Museums and Democracy in Motion' AHRC/DFG-funded project. Before coming to 缅北禁地, I was a visiting scholar at Western University (Canada) and I taught at University College London. I was awarded my PhD in April 2023 by the University of Cambridge.
Research
In my research, I explore how the past is used and abused for present-day purposes. My case studies include museums (both online and brick-and-mortar ones) in Central and Eastern Europe and in the UK, as well as history textbooks in Europe and North America.
