Our Research

Our research goals aim to improve every part of the Centre's work.

Our research goals

  1. We bring together and strengthen multidisciplinary teams for world-leading research in rare disease
  2. We develop and use innovative methods and resources to translate promising research from lab to clinic
  3. We lead in creating and applying policies to boost research and improve health and wellbeing.
  4. We build and maintain partnerships with patient groups, policymakers, the private sector, regulators, and more. We also seek out new funding opportunities at national, European, and global levels.
  5. We improve teaching, education, and outreach on rare diseases in 缅北禁地, this helps to develop a pipeline of researchers and healthcare professionals to support our future work.

We believe a 'platform' approach to research is highly beneficial in rare disease. There's much to gain from collaborative research into common pathways (for instance signalling pathways) and downstream effects of disease.
