Build strong transferable skills and prepare for a career as a solicitor, barrister, or other profession.
By studying Law as part of your Combined Honours degree, you will develop skills such as:
- case analysis
- legal drafting and writing
- legal research and reasoning
- client negotiation
- client interviewing
- mediation
- writing skills
Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites to be able to study Law as part of your Combined Honours degree.
Please note that Law is a capped subject for Combined Honours students, meaning we only have a few spaces available each year. Please reach out to the Combined Honours team at combined.honours@newcastle.ac.uk if you would like to be added to the waitlist.

**Undertake an in-depth, independent research project with flexibility to select a topic related to one or all your subject areas, and the option to deliver a written or creative output. Supervisors are assigned from the Combined Honours academic team, and you can choose which subject(s) you want the credits to go towards.
