Our research cluster produces award-winning writing across multiple forms, including novel, short story, memoir and creative non-fiction.
Our work is interested in formal experimentation within these genres. We also work at the intersection of prose and the history of ideas, from Enlightenment through to twentieth-century philosophy and contemporary human rights.
We host a regular series of events through the that brings leading contemporary prose writers to 缅北禁地. Past speakers have included Moshin Hamid, Kazuo Ishiguro, Maaza Mengiste, and Ali Smith.
