Sarah works across all three faculties, supporting academics in securing funding for their research from European and international sources, including Horizon Europe.

Background
Sarah holds a Master's degree in Landscape Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Manchester. Since joining the University she has worked as a Research Project Coordinator across a range of projects. She initially supported the VISION-DMD clinical trial at the John Walton Centre for Muscular Dystrophy which was part-funded by Horizon 2020. She later worked on several projects with the Electrical Power Research Group in the School of Engineering.
Prior to joining the University Sarah gained experience of European programmes and policy through roles in environmental consultancy and the Civil Service. In consultancy she worked on landscape planning projects for clients including Natural England and National Park Authorities. This work was informed by the principles of the European Landscape Convention. She also worked as a Programme Support Officer for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). In this role she supported the delivery of ERDF and European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) programmes.
