Meet John
BEng Geospatial Surveying and Mapping
Part of a friendly community
The University has beautiful historic buildings and abundant greenery, which creates a peaceful environment. The friendliness of the people along with the excellent facilities like the Language Resource Centre constantly reassures me that I made the right choice to support my future goals.
I joined the Music Society and became part of their voices group. It was my first time singing in a group like this. The practice sessions were always fun, and I really enjoyed being a part of it.
Exploring career options
There is a significant demand for surveyors. I had already planned to pursue a career in this area, but the University strengthened that decision by offering relevant modules, experienced lecturers, and cutting-edge technology.
Studying this degree has shown me I鈥m not limited to just surveying though.鈥疻hile I haven鈥t finalised my future plans, I鈥m confident that, with the support I鈥ve received, I鈥ll make good decisions. I鈥ve used the Careers Service to create an effective CV, and the annual GENIE networking event helped me build connections.
